My Platform & Issues

Real priorities. Common-sense solutions. Rooted in the values of Pennsylvania families — and ready to take to Harrisburg.

Education Reform

Education Reform

Preparing our children for real life — not political agendas.

  • Restore practical, career-ready courses: trades, financial literacy, civics, and life skills.
  • Keep political ideology out of the classroom — focus on academic excellence.
  • Empower parents with transparency into curriculum and school decisions.
  • Support teachers with the resources they need to teach effectively.
  • Advocate for local school board accountability and community input.
Healthy Schools & Food

Healthy Schools & Food

Nourishing young minds with real, whole food.

  • Promote organic and natural whole-food options in school cafeterias.
  • Phase out ultra-processed foods and artificial additives from school menus.
  • Partner with local farms to source fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Educate students on nutrition and healthy eating habits.
  • Support school garden programs that connect kids to where food comes from.
Community Gardens & Sustainable Living

Community Gardens & Sustainable Living

Rooted communities grow stronger together.

  • Expand access to community garden spaces in neighborhoods across the district.
  • Legalize and support backyard chickens with sensible, fair ordinances.
  • Develop sustainable waste solutions including composting and recycling programs.
  • Fund green infrastructure that reduces costs and improves quality of life.
  • Encourage neighbor-to-neighbor food sharing and local food networks.
Organic Farming Support

Organic Farming Support

Investing in farmers who invest in our health.

  • Provide financial assistance for farmers transitioning to certified organic practices.
  • Offer technical support and education to help meet USDA organic standards.
  • Reduce regulatory barriers that make organic certification unnecessarily difficult.
  • Connect Pennsylvania farmers with markets that value organic, local produce.
  • Protect farmland from overdevelopment and preserve agricultural heritage.
Faith, Freedoms & Families

Faith, Freedoms & Families

Protecting the values that hold our communities together.

  • Defend religious liberty and the right to live according to your faith.
  • Protect parental rights in education, healthcare, and family decisions.
  • Oppose government overreach into the private lives of Pennsylvania families.
  • Support policies that strengthen marriage, family stability, and community bonds.
  • Ensure freedom of speech and expression is protected for all Pennsylvanians.
Small Business Freedom

Small Business Freedom

Cutting red tape so Main Street can thrive.

  • Audit and eliminate outdated, unnecessary regulations that burden local businesses.
  • Streamline permitting and licensing processes to reduce startup costs.
  • Advocate for tax relief and incentives for small and family-owned businesses.
  • Oppose corporate monopolies that crowd out local entrepreneurs.
  • Bring common-sense economic solutions from our community to Harrisburg.
Community Accountability

Community Accountability

Demanding transparency from the agencies that serve us.

  • Hold government agencies accountable to the communities they serve.
  • Push for transparent reporting and public oversight of local services.
  • Advocate for responsive, accessible elected officials and public servants.
  • Support whistleblower protections for those who expose waste and corruption.
  • Restore balance between government authority and individual rights.

Recycle Right — Clean Community Initiative

Turning trash into treasure and keeping toxins out of our neighborhoods.

Recycling only works when we do it right. Contaminated bins cost our community money and send recyclables straight to the landfill. Pilar is committed to making recycling easy, clear, and effective — and to championing a bold new proposal to give every Pennsylvania family a safe, accessible way to dispose of toxic household products.

Pilar's Toxic Product Safe Disposal Proposal

Advocating for a statewide Pennsylvania initiative

Every year, Pennsylvania families pour paint down drains, toss batteries in trash cans, and store old pesticides in garages because they have nowhere safe to take them. This is a public health crisis hiding in plain sight. Pilar is advocating for a statewide proposal that would change that — for good.

  • Establish permanent, free Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) drop-off sites in every county.
  • Create a mobile toxic product collection program that visits rural and underserved communities.
  • Partner with retailers to accept old batteries, paint, and electronics at point of purchase.
  • Require manufacturers of toxic products to fund and participate in take-back programs.
  • Launch a public education campaign so every family knows how to safely dispose of hazardous items.
  • Protect our waterways, soil, and air from the long-term damage caused by improper toxic disposal.
